The Permian Panthers won their second consecutive outright district title and finished the regular season undefeated for the first time in 18 years. On Senior Night, the Panthers beat San Angelo Central 31-8 Friday at Ratliff Stadium. Permian is now 10-0 overall and 4-0 in District 2-6A, and its district winning streak reached nine games.

Permian led 17-0 at halftime. Running back Cayden Taylor had 11 carries for 165 yards, and quarterback Kayden Vickers went 11-of-13 for 148 yards passing, according to the story. San Angelo Central, now 5-5 overall and 1-3 in district play, had already clinched a playoff spot.

Permian head coach Jeff Ellison said he was proud of the seniors and of the team's growth over four years. He called Central a really good football team and said the defense did a good job containing Central running back Zeyvion Johnson for most of the game.
