El Paso Locomotive FC will host San Antonio FC on Friday in the opening round of the USL Championship Playoffs. El Paso is the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, and San Antonio is the No. 6 seed. Kickoff at Southwest University Park is set for 7 p.m.
El Paso lost its final two regular-season games. Locomotive goalkeeper Armando Moreno said he feels confident because of the team's locker room and said the team is difficult to beat.
El Paso won 3-0 over San Antonio on August 15. That is the only win for El Paso in its last five meetings with the club. Locomotive striker Rubio Rubin, who the story says is the league's second-leading goal scorer, said, "It's one game now, win or go home."
