2nd & Charles is set to open a new store in Humble in early December, company officials confirmed by email on Oct. 27. The store is planned for Deerbrook Marketplace, in an existing space of about 27,400 square feet, according to a July 21 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The shop will buy, sell and trade used books, video games and systems, vinyl records, CDs, movies, comics, toys and collectibles. It will also sell some new merchandise. Scott Kappler, executive vice president of operations, said customers can bring in items to sell or trade for cash or store credit, so the inventory changes often. He said the trade model keeps prices affordable.
2nd & Charles has other Texas stores in Beaumont, Lubbock and Conroe. Another store is planned to open in Plano on Dec. 10, Community Impact reported earlier. The Humble store is at 20416 Hwy. 59.
