Texans have until the end of the day Friday to cast their ballots early. Statewide and local turnout already exceeds total early voting numbers from the 2022 midterm elections.

About 5.9 million people cast ballots in person during the first 11 days of early voting, according to the report. That is 31.5% of the state's 19 million registered voters. In 2022, 5.1 million people, or 29% of voters, turned out during the full early voting period.

In North Texas, the in-person totals after 11 days were higher than the full 2022 early vote in each of four large counties. Dallas County had 534,404 in-person voters, compared with 391,328 early votes in 2022. Tarrant County had 509,294, compared with 389,285. Collin County had 329,412, compared with 253,746. Denton County had 282,986, compared with 219,010.
