Marble Falls track and field athlete Madison Cuplin has committed to compete at Texas Tech University. Cuplin set school records in four events during the 2026 season, including a 100-meter time of 11.81 seconds and a 200-meter time of 23.84 seconds. She also won the Class 4A state championship in the triple jump with a mark of 40 feet, 5.75 inches.

Cuplin said she chose Texas Tech because she wanted a program where she would feel valued as a person and not only for her performance. She said a difficult freshman year pushed her to work harder. In her senior season, she said she focused on consistency in training, nutrition and sleep.

Cuplin said she is looking forward to competing against stronger athletes in college. She credited her parents as her biggest supporters.
