A 77-year-old Abilene woman died after a two-vehicle crash on Nov. 5 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 277 and Farm to Market Road 707 in Taylor County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS said Linda Jane Holmes was driving a 2006 Saturn Vue south on FM 707 about 4:48 p.m. when she failed to yield at a stop sign. Her vehicle collided with a northbound 2016 Ford F-150 that had the right of way. Holmes was taken to Hendrick Medical Center North, where a doctor pronounced her dead at 7:20 p.m., DPS said.
The pickup's driver, Jose Sifuentes Lozano, 54, of Louise, was not injured, DPS said. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The crash remains under investigation.
