The new HTeaO storefront in Burnet opens for business Saturday, Nov. 7, at 1408 S. Water Street, according to Burnet HTeaO representatives. The store will offer free drinks from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the first 250 guests will receive a free t-shirt. Half-price gallon jugs will be available until Nov. 14.
The project began in March, when the Burnet Economic Development Corporation approved a $200,000 incentive agreement for the site's rebranding. EDC representatives said the lot had been empty since the former Burger King closed, leaving a storefront on one of the city's busiest streets dark. They said the renovation was worth the investment.
HTeaO is a Texas-based iced tea chain that started as a family business in Amarillo in 2009. The company says it operates more than 125 locations nationwide.
