Rockwall beat Rockwall-Heath 53-35 on Friday night in the annual I-30 Classic at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium. Collins Jones threw four touchdown passes, and Kaydon Castro rushed for 200 yards. The win gave the Yellowjackets the District 10-6A top seed in Class 6A Division I and a return to the playoffs after they missed last season. Rockwall, now 8-2 overall and 6-1 in district play, totaled 532 yards of offense.

Heath, 5-5 overall and 4-3 in district, had already clinched a playoff spot before the regular-season finale. The Hawks trailed 31-7 at halftime. They outscored Rockwall 28-22 in the second half, but could not catch up.

Rockwall coach Trey Brooks said after the game that he felt great and was exhausted and proud. He credited the players for their work during the week and in earlier weeks, and said the team had improved every game.
