Scott McKee, judge of the 392nd District Court, spoke to the Athens Kiwanis on Tuesday about his duties and responsibilities on the bench.

McKee said he passed through Athens many years ago on his way from Georgia to Fort Hood. At that time, he said, he did not expect to become a lawyer, and he did not expect to someday serve as a district court judge in the East Texas city.
