Former ABC13 anchor Melanie Lawson will be inducted into the Silver Circle at the 2026 Lone Star Emmy Awards next month, the station said.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences gives the Silver Circle honor to television professionals who have made significant contributions to the industry over careers of 25 years or more.

Lawson retired from ABC13 in January after a 45-year career at the Houston station.
