The Chosen One Ink, a piercing and tattoo shop in Arlington, hosts a haunted house each October in the back of its studio. The event is a fundraiser, and admission requires a canned food donation for Mission Arlington, a neighboring organization.

The attraction ran from Oct. 3 to 31. By the end of the month, it had drawn 4,279 visitors, according to the report, and produced three truck bed loads of canned food for Mission Arlington.

Tattoo artist Karina Brundrett, who has worked at the shop for a decade, leads the coordination and running of the haunted house. Shop owner Matt Brundrett is her husband. Karina said the event is meant to be fun and to support a good cause, and that she wants to give back to the community because she received donation boxes as a child.
