Fort Bend ISD is asking families and community members for input on academic calendars for 2027-28 and 2028-29. An online survey is open from Nov. 2 to Nov. 15, according to the district's website.
The survey includes two options for each year. Both 2027-28 options include 172 instructional days plus a bank of minutes. Both 2028-29 options include 173 instructional days, a bank of minutes and three days of teacher professional learning in August. Each calendar includes teacher planning, professional training and breaks, including a weeklong fall break.
District staff expect to submit the calendars to the board of trustees for approval in January.
