A video recorded Aug. 7 shows an unmarked vehicle with what appear to be police lights parked near the Dickinson home of Cristina Velasquez.

Velasquez said an agent appeared to be watching the property about a week before her husband was detained and taken into U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody.

Velasquez, a U.S. citizen, said Friday that her husband, Javier Ernesto Lopez Cortez, waited weeks to receive medication for bronchitis at the Houston Processing Center. She said the detention facility is operated by CoreCivic, a Tennessee-based company.
