The Baytown Historical Preservation Association (BHPA) invites the public to its annual "A Taste of History" on Saturday, November 14, at 5:30 p.m. The event will be held at Memorial Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 600 W. Sterling Avenue, in Baytown.

Parking and the entrance are behind the church, at West Murrill Avenue and North Felton Street. The evening will include history, food and fellowship, the association said.

The event is part of BHPA's continuing celebration of America's 250th anniversary. It will feature a first-person portrayal of George Washington by Mark Collins.
