Beau, a light-tan male dog, was found abandoned along the side of a road in Carthage. A resident found him after reportedly seeing the people believed to have left him behind leave the area. A local couple is now caring for him while they look for a permanent home.
His exact age and breed are unknown, but his caregivers believe he will grow into a large dog. They describe him as sweet, affectionate and playful. He enjoys cuddles, toys and time with people. His caregivers said he has done well around children, other dogs and chickens, but pigs seem to be a different story. Beau has not been neutered or microchipped, and his vaccination history and medical background are unknown.
His current caregivers cannot keep a large dog long-term. They are looking for a responsible home for Beau and will charge a small adoption fee. Interested people can contact Miranda Nail through Facebook. She is based in Carthage and is willing to arrange a meeting in town.
