The Victoria County Commissioners Court will consider several items involving county facilities, public services and employee benefits at its Monday meeting. The agenda includes a proposed $1,500 grant from Marathon Pipe Line to Victoria County Animal Services. Commissioners will consider a resolution accepting the award.

The court will also review the results of a request for qualifications for design-build services for renovations to the Animal Services facility. Commissioners are scheduled to consider appointing evaluation committee members and selecting an architect or engineer to review design drawings and equipment submittals from the chosen firm.

For the county's planned Mental and Behavioral Health Facility, commissioners will consider declaring an impasse in negotiations with Tom Green & Company Engineers Inc. over building commissioning services. The agenda also calls for rescinding a June 15 vote that rejected all other statements of qualifications, and for authorizing the county procurement specialist to negotiate with the next-highest qualified respondent.

Other items include a professional surveying services agreement for a Texas Department of Transportation bridge replacement project on Lower Mission Valley Road in Precinct 2, and a request for a plat exemption at 776 FM 237 in Precinct 2. Precinct 3 Commissioner Martin has sent a letter denying a sanitary control easement request from Raisin Windmill Properties LLC. The court is also scheduled to hear a presentation from the Texas Association of Counties on Victoria County's risk landscape in 2026 and recommendations for 2027.
