Ector County will provide four drop-off locations for bulky household items and tires on Saturday, Nov. 7. The sites are part of the Basin Beautification Project's Fall Basin Action Day. The Ector County Public Works Department will run the sites from 8 to 11 a.m.
The county will accept furniture, appliances, mattresses and tires. Contractors and businesses are not permitted to dispose of bulky items or tires through the event. The Basin Beautification Project's community cleanup activities will run from 8 to 10 a.m. Registered volunteers will receive cleanup supplies, including safety vests, gloves and trash bags.
Ector County and the Basin Beautification Project said the partnership aims to encourage responsible waste disposal, reduce litter and illegal dumping, and build community pride across the Permian Basin. Residents can volunteer for a neighborhood cleanup, take part on their own, or form teams with coworkers, friends and family. The county encourages residents of all ages to take part.
