The Anahuac City Council recognized October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month during its meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Jarnae Williams and Gabby Hernandez, both from Bay Area Turning Point, received the city's proclamation.

Mayor Randall Decker and council members Nathan Trahan, Sean Perry, Kolby Chambliss and Janice Jircik took part in the presentation on behalf of the city.
