The Lufkin Police Department did not release a daily media report on Friday. Police arrested Desandrae Demetric Fowler, 20, of Lufkin, on a charge of cruelty to non-livestock animals.
The Angelina County Sheriff's Office made three arrests late Thursday or early Friday. Sean Michael Halek, 39, of Lufkin, was arrested on a warrant for credit or debit card abuse. Jennifer Brown, 45, of Lufkin, was arrested on warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to control speed, leading to an accident. Brian Christopher Brennan, 49, of Lufkin, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, search or transport, and public intoxication.
Angelina County Adult Probation arrested John Edward Phillips Jr., 33, of Lufkin, on a warrant for possession of 4-400 grams of a penalty group 2 controlled substance. The Angelina County Jail housed 420 inmates as of 3:30 p.m. Friday, according to the report.
