The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation's gala committee will hold a Live Auction on a Saturday in January 2027. The committee has run the event for 20 years.
Past auction items have included monthly floral deliveries, antique quilts, quail hunts, vacations, luxury handbags, gourmet dinners, sporting event tickets and a vintage bottle of Weller, according to the foundation.
The committee is asking for item and experience donations. Proceeds are meant to help get a second cardiac catheterization lab at the local hospital up and running. The foundation said donations are tax-deductible as allowed by the IRS. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit governed by a board of local citizens.
