The City of Brenham issued a boil-water notice on Saturday. City officials said the notice was due to a water main leak earlier in the evening.
Residents are asked to boil tap water before drinking, cooking or brushing their teeth. City crews are working to fix the problem. The city said updates and frequently asked questions are available on its website.
The city said it will send another notice when the advisory is lifted.
