Earlier this fall, Flower Mound held a Chalk the Park event at Twin Coves Park and launched the "Creative Urges" art exhibits. The exhibits feature 38 works by 18 artists and are displayed at Town Hall, the Senior Center, and the Flower Mound Public Library. The Flower Mound Town Council has declared November Arts Month.
The 12th annual Art Party ran from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the Flower Mound Public Library. The free, family-friendly event included artwork by Lewisville ISD and homeschooled students, art demonstrations, hands-on activities, face painting and glitter tattoos. Winners of the 2026 Bookmark Design Contest were also to be announced.
Three new traffic signal boxes feature artwork by local artists Yvonne Gambino, Lauren Cooper and Michelle Pavlik. On Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., residents can take part in Make Your Mark at the Community Activity Center, an art project to transform a room into a community-created work. Details on the traffic box program are available at flowermound.gov/trafficbox.
