Comal County has temporarily lifted its burn ban through noon Sunday, Nov. 1. The Commissioners Court sets burn bans when the Keetch-Byram Drought Index (KBDI) reaches 500 points. On Thursday, the county's KBDI was 585 points.

Several days of steady rain have made brush fires extremely unlikely in unincorporated parts of the county. Campfires, burn barrels, fire pits and rings are now allowed.

More information is available on the county fire marshal's website.
