The school's marching band placed third at a UIL Class 3A Area E contest and will compete at state.
The Santa Gertrudis Academy Lion Marching Band earned a third-place finish at the University Interscholastic League Class 3A Area E Marching Contest on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The result secured the band a spot at the state marching championships. According to the headline, it is the band's sixth trip to state.
