Kleberg County Human Services hosted a training event last week at the Kleberg County Economic Development & Training Center in Kingsville, the agency said. NRG, the parent company of several electric providers, provided the training. The providers named by the agency include Reliant, Green Mountain, Discount Power, Direct, Xoom, Cirro and Stream.
The agency said it works with these providers to help eligible households with their utility needs. Agencies from Corpus Christi, Laredo and Carrizo Springs attended the event, the agency said.
The agency thanked Kleberg County Judge Rudy Madrid for his support and Ray De La Garza and the staff at the EOC facility for their help with the event. It said training helps staff and partner agencies learn about their system and receive updates that can help them serve families.
