A 26-year-old College Station man, Sebastian Domingo, was sentenced to life in prison Oct. 27 after a Grimes County jury found him guilty of continuous sexual abuse of a child. The victim was 5 years old when the abuse began, according to the district attorney's office. The trial was held Oct. 20 in the 12th District Court, with District Judge David Moorman presiding.
Chief Investigator John Wren testified about a confession Domingo gave in a Dec. 2, 2025, interview. Wren said Domingo admitted to sexually assaulting the male victim four times, two before a 2022 prison term for assaulting a peace officer and two after his 2024 release. Domingo later tried to recant, saying he falsely confessed because he wanted to make a phone call. Under cross-examination by Assistant District Attorney Tammy Thomas, he acknowledged that no one in law enforcement had promised him a phone call.
Thomas said Domingo "clearly has no remorse" and is dangerous. The jury deliberated for less than 20 minutes before returning its verdict. During sentencing, the victim's mother and sister gave victim impact statements. Crime Victims Coordinator Brenda Williams said she was proud of the victim for speaking up and encouraged anyone experiencing abuse to seek help.
Wren said the case began Oct. 5, 2025, when the College Station Police Department received the initial report.
