Wesley House Assisted Living, at 1044 Church Street in Sulphur Springs, held its annual Trunk or Treat Halloween event on Oct. 27. Administrator Kristy Gregory and her staff hosted the families who attend each year.

Children in costumes trick-or-treated with residents, who sat in a wide circle and gave each child candy. A decorated car contest with a Halloween movie theme was held along the driveway.

First place went to Jessica Anderson's car, decorated with a Hocus Pocus theme and sponsored by Heart to Heart Hospice. The runner-up was a car called "The Mummy," entered by Amanda Fountain of Wesley House.
