The Republican National Committee has detailed a large ground operation in the Texas U.S. Senate race between Attorney General Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico, according to details it provided to Texas Scorecard. The committee said its teams have knocked on more than 8.3 million doors, completed nearly 2.2 million voter surveys and made more than 1.7 million voter contacts in Texas this cycle. It said those totals are the highest of any state.

RNC Chairman Joe Gruters said the party has built a data-driven operation to identify and turn out voters. The effort includes a state director and regional field staff. The RNC also said it has recruited 100 volunteer attorneys, 3,700 poll workers, 400 poll watchers and 125 special monitors in Texas to prepare for possible Election Day issues. Nationally, it said it has signed up about 21,500 poll workers, nearly double its total at the same point in the 2024 cycle.

The RNC said it has also taken a central role in the campaign against Talarico, claiming responsibility for about 90 percent of opposition research clips, stories and attacks aimed at him. Paxton said the national party has provided support to counter spending from out-of-state donors. President Donald Trump has held rallies in San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Lubbock, and Vice President JD Vance has appeared in Harlingen, Tyler and Weatherford.
