With Election Day approaching, candidates across Texas are making final campaign stops. Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton spoke in Houston about the rising cost of gas, groceries and electricity. He said he has a plan to lower costs for families and help Texans afford homes and healthcare. Governor Greg Abbott campaigned in Amarillo and Laredo on border security, property taxes and affordability, and urged supporters to encourage others to vote.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gina Hinojosa and U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico campaigned together in Houston. Hinojosa spoke about property taxes and government accountability and criticized Abbott over rising costs. Talarico said he supports banning corporate PACs and super PACs and called for limiting the influence of wealthy donors and corporate money in elections.
