Dallas police are investigating three shootings that broke out within about an hour early Sunday, Nov. 1, in the city's Deep Ellum entertainment district, according to local news reports. Calls to police came at 12:19 a.m. in the 2600 block of Elm Street, at 1:04 a.m. in the 2600 block of Main Street, and at 1:35 a.m. at Main Street and Pryor Street.

Police said four people were killed and five others were hurt across the three scenes, according to local news reports. Other early reports, citing police sources, put the confirmed death toll at three, and said victims were still arriving at hospitals early Sunday. One shooting happened near a convenience store, and gunfire along Commerce Street left three people dead, according to the reports. The shootings do not appear to be related, though the investigation is ongoing.

As of early Sunday, police had not released the names of the victims or information on any suspects, and had not said whether anyone was arrested. The Dallas Police Department had not posted a public statement on its official accounts as of about 5 a.m. The streets around the scenes were shut down overnight while officers worked the locations. The shootings came after Halloween night, when Deep Ellum's bars and clubs draw large crowds.
