Houston Ballet is celebrating two anniversaries this holiday season, its 'Nutcracker' and its Nutcracker Market. The production is performed on stages around the world, but according to the report, Artistic Director Stanton Welch's version for Houston Ballet was reimagined 10 years ago.
This year is also the 46th Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market. The report describes the market as a holiday shopping event that draws tens of thousands of people to kick off the season.
ABC13 reporter Rita Garcia has a behind-the-scenes look at both the ballet and the market in a special titled 'Tutus, Totes and Traditions.' It airs Saturday at 10:35 p.m. and Sunday at 3:00 p.m., and can also be streamed.
