President Donald Trump was in Texas on Tuesday for the third time in a month. The Associated Press reported that he was in Corpus Christi and Lubbock to boost Republican Ken Paxton's Senate campaign. Democrats are seeking their first statewide election win in more than three decades in next week's midterm elections.
Democrat James Talarico is also campaigning across the state and ended his day in Lubbock. In the governor's race, Democrat Gina Hinojosa is challenging Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, who is seeking a fourth term.
The report said Trump is highlighting cultural issues and a military operation in Venezuela, amid rising gas prices. It also said Elon Musk has invested heavily in defeating Talarico, making the Senate race one of the most expensive in the country.
