Unofficial early voting data shows Pflugerville voters were in favor of all city charter amendments except Props A, C, H and L. The charter is the city's legal governing document, and the City Council forms a group of residents every five years to suggest changes to it, according to a city news release.
Proposition A would pay the mayor $750 a month and each council member $500 a month. Council members are currently unpaid. Early voting showed 37.3% for and 62.7% against. Proposition C, which would drop the requirement that an ordinance be read at two council meetings, had 45.1% for and 54.9% against. Proposition H, which would let the mayor excuse the city manager from a meeting, had 25% for and 75% against.
Several other measures had majority support. Proposition B, on privacy rules for city data, facial recognition and artificial intelligence, had 76.6% for. Proposition G, on budget requirements, had 80.5% for, and Proposition E, on council meeting procedures, had 81.9% for.
