La Bohemia, at 107 Pierce St., will host work by Karla Arellano, a local artist who works as Afterbloom Oddities, on Friday, Nov. 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The exhibit includes more than 20 handcrafted pieces made from insects, bones and dried florals, which Arellano said she sourced from trusted suppliers. She calls the work "oddity art" or "entomology art."

Arellano said she started making this work in early 2026 and that some pieces take about two weeks to complete. She said she hopes people will notice beauty in things they might not usually notice. Besides selling at local markets, this will be her first exhibit. The work is set to stay on display all month at La Bohemia, and Arellano said she will be at the store on Friday evening to meet visitors.

Store owner Ashley Trevino said she will offer snacks and a harvest sangria, and that music will be played. People can also buy ice cream and drinks at Sweet Scoops Real Fruit Ice Cream, across the street.
