A second woman is suing Koinonia Christian Church in Arlington and its lead pastor, Ronnie Goines, according to Dallas County court records. The woman alleges that Goines assaulted her twice in 2025, once at his Mansfield home in August and again in September at her home. The suit says they met at a Dallas restaurant in June, when she told him she wanted only a platonic relationship. Her attorneys wrote that Goines was "amenable" to that. The suit also says he told her he believed God was guiding her to him, and she alleges he abused his role as a spiritual guide.
The lawsuit accuses the church of negligent hiring, supervision and retention. Her attorneys wrote that the church knew of the pastor's earlier conduct. Earlier in 2025, another woman sued Goines, alleging he sexually assaulted her twice in 2023. Criminal charges tied to those 2023 incidents were later dropped, and that plaintiff later agreed to settle without a trial.
In a video posted to the church's Facebook page on a Friday morning, Goines said, "I discovered what I did wrong the first time is that I was silent." He said his silence left church members vulnerable to lies. He then read a statement prepared by his attorneys.
