The United Methodist Association of Communicators (UMAC) will hold its 2027 Annual Meeting on February 25–26 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Austin. The gathering brings together communicators from across The United Methodist Church to learn new skills, exchange ideas, build relationships and discover ways to strengthen church communications.
The Rio Texas Conference said it is offering up to 20 participation stipends of $500 each to help local church representatives attend. The stipends are meant to offset the cost of attending. Applications are due by December 1, 2026. The conference said applications will be reviewed as they are received, and stipends may be awarded before the deadline.
According to the conference, people do not need an official communications title or to be paid church staff to apply. Pastors, church staff and volunteers who have been designated or authorized by their local church leadership may participate on behalf of their congregation.
