The City of Canton announced Wednesday that Lieutenant Steve Hall has been appointed the city's new police chief.

Hall has spent 30 years with the Canton Police Department. He served 20 of those years as a canine officer. He was later promoted to corporal, then sergeant, and then lieutenant.
