Early voting nears its end ahead of Nov. 3 Election Day in Texas

Early voting is underway in Texas, with only days left before Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3. As of Monday night, 9,848 Chambers County voters had cast ballots in the election.

Democratic Party Chair Paule West said her focus is on getting voters out to vote. Republican Party Chair Donnie Self urged voters to vote their principles and to vote the entire ballot.

Key races include the U.S. Senate race between Republican Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico, with Libertarian Ted Brown also on the ballot. Incumbent Republican Brian Babin faces Democrat Rhonda Hart in the U.S. Congress race. Sen. Brett Ligon, the Republican nominee for Senate District 4, faces Democrat Ron C. Angeletti. Ligon defeated Angeletti in a special election last May.
