The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas is expected to release more information Thursday about the deadly Halloween night shootings in Deep Ellum. A press conference is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Main Street.
On Wednesday, police identified the fourth victim who died as 20-year-old Isaiah Boling, who was shot on Elm Street. Police believe that was the first shooting, reported around 12:19 a.m. A second shooting was reported just after 1 a.m. on Main Street. Police said three others, Anthony Martin, 25, Unique Benjamin, 28, and Kaniesa Scott, 21, were shot and killed on nearby Crowdus Street in the third and final shooting, reported around 1:35 a.m. NBC 5 spoke with Scott's family, who said she was an innocent bystander.
Police are asking the public to help identify a suspect seen in video pulling out a pistol near a large group of people before the Main Street shooting. Police are also asking witnesses for any videos or photos from that night. Police have questioned at least one person in connection with the shootings. Anyone with information can contact Sgt. Boz Rojas at 214-671-3598 or boz.rojas@dallaspolice.gov. Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux praised the response, saying responders gave lifesaving care to an injured person who survived.
