The Denton Urban Air held its soft opening Oct. 31. The first 50 children in Halloween costumes who bought Urban Air socks received a free day play pass. The new $1 million facility is an indoor playground and trampoline park for children ages 2 to 18. It can hold up to 400 people at a time, according to prior reporting. Attractions include a zipline, climbing walls, slides, obstacle courses, trampolines and a tube playground. Some attractions have height limits and require harnesses. Socks are required inside the park. The park also has a cafe and 10 private party rooms. Owner Dev Ray said opening in Denton made business sense because the city is growing and has few spaces like this. Ray previously said the location will bring 35 to 50 part-time and full-time jobs, according to prior reporting. The park offers single-day passes and monthly memberships, according to its website. In a news release, the Ray family said it is committed to healthy, active lifestyles for local kids and aims to offer a clean, safe and affordable place to play.
