A 58-year-old McAllen man, Mark Edward Wilkins, was charged with three counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor early Sunday, according to a press release from the McAllen Police Department.
Police said a witness called to report underage drinking at a home in the 1500 block of North 6th Street. The witness said they saw a group of male subjects outside and heard them vomiting. When officers arrived, they reported finding about 15 to 20 boys who ran off, several of whom they said were highly intoxicated. Officers also reported seeing empty cans of alcohol at the location and found Wilkins to be extremely intoxicated.
Police said three 14- and 15-year-old boys received on-scene care because they were suspected of overconsuming alcohol. They were later released to responsible parties. Jail records show Wilkins was released the same day on $15,000 in bonds.
