The Office of the Texas Secretary of State will publish election night results for statewide and district-level races on the evening of Nov. 3. Local races and ballot measures are available on county websites, the office said. Historical election data is also posted on the office's site.
Polls close at 7 p.m. local time on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Results often begin appearing in the statewide system around 7:30 p.m. El Paso and Hudspeth counties are in the Mountain Time Zone and cannot release results until polls close at their local 7 p.m. Counties usually report early and mail-in votes first, then update totals as Election Day ballots are counted. Voters in line at 7 p.m. will still be allowed to vote, which may delay reporting from some locations.
The office said it does not predict or call election results, and all election night results are unofficial. Counties count ballots and report results, and totals may briefly differ between county and state websites. Some provisional, military and overseas ballots may be counted after Election Day under state and federal law. More election information is available at VoteTexas.gov.
