Galveston police responded at 2:13 a.m. Friday to reports of gunfire at Sandpiper Cove, an apartment complex at 3916 Winnie St.

Officers found multiple spent shell casings from two separate locations within the complex, Galveston Police Department spokesman Kurt Koopmann said.
