Monopoly: Austin Edition was released Friday, Oct. 23. The game was developed by Top Trumps USA under license from Hasbro. In the game, Barton Springs is the most expensive property, replacing Boardwalk. The Texas State Capitol is the second-most expensive, replacing Park Place.
Other properties include Zilker Park, South Congress and the LBJ Presidential Library. Local businesses on the board include Torchy's Tacos, Terry Black's BBQ, Kerbey Lane All Day Cafe, Schlotzsky's Deli and El Arroyo. The Comedy Mothership, a downtown comedy club opened by podcaster Joe Rogan, is also included. The game uses a "Tailgate Tax" in place of the Luxury Tax and "Festival Passes" in place of the Income Tax. Chance and Community Chest cards include Austin-specific scenarios.
According to the story, the company began asking for suggestions in July 2025, through social media and email. More than a year of community input helped decide which places were included. The playing pieces are the same silver pieces as the classic game. The game is sold for $39.99 on the Top Trumps USA website.
