Industrial beat Schulenburg 25-13, 25-19, 25-15 in the bi-district round on Thursday and advanced to the area round. The Cobras finished District 24-3A at 14-0. Karli Stanush led Industrial with 18 kills and 21 digs, and Brooke Hartl had 18 assists.
Industrial had also beaten Fort Bend Austin in five sets in a postseason warm-up match on Oct. 26. Stanush had 25 kills in that match, according to the report.
Edna lost to Hallettsville 25-18, 22-25, 25-16, 25-20 in the bi-district round on Thursday and finished 18-23 overall. Braxton Duarte had five aces and six kills for the Cowgirls. Ganado lost 25-15, 25-13, 25-6 at Danbury on Oct. 23 in its final District 27-2A match. The Maidens finished district play 2-10 and did not advance to the postseason. Bella Briones led Ganado with 12 assists.
