Scattered showers and a few storms are possible tonight in Houston, mainly near the coast. The forecast shows a low risk of isolated street flooding from tonight through early Saturday, with the heaviest downpours expected close to the coast.

Rain is forecast to be off and on Saturday, Halloween. Spotty afternoon storms and isolated showers could occur around trick-or-treat time. Most models show rain tapering off through the evening, so many areas are expected to be rain-free by then.

Storms are expected Tuesday, Election Day, as a cold front moves through. The front could bring widespread heavy rain, strong winds and hail across the area. Behind the front, cooler morning temperatures are forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.
