The Comal County Recycling Center will stop accepting brush beginning Thursday, Nov. 12, so crews can grind the brush piles already on site. The closure is expected to last two to three weeks.
The center will be open on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11. Veterans with a military ID or VA card can drop off brush for free.
Brush drop-off hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday. The center is at 281 Resource Dr. in New Braunfels. For more information, call 830-643-3781.
