Tacos Richy is set to open Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 3606 Greenville Ave. in Lower Greenville, according to a press release. The restaurant will open at 11:11 a.m. The menu includes house-nixtamalized heirloom corn tortillas, mesquite-grilled tacos al carbón, Prime Steak Trompo, Prime Ribeye Gaonera and flan.
Jon Garay of EMPWR Hospitality created the concept. He founded Chilangos Tacos, which has multiple locations, including one in Old East Dallas, in 2019. Garay said in the release, "To me, the taco is art, and Richy is the gallery." EMPWR culinary director Víctor Morales developed the recipes and will lead the kitchen.
The restaurant is still working toward a liquor license, so margaritas, tequila, mezcal and other alcoholic drinks are not yet available. Guests can order melon horchata, hibiscus-guava agua fresca and bottled sodas. The 55-seat dining room is red, and the kitchen is open to view. Regular hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Complimentary valet will be offered from 4 p.m. to close on Fridays and Saturdays.
