Sweetgreen's Lakewood location in the Lakewood Shopping Center will close for good on Nov. 5, according to staff who spoke to the Lakewood/East Dallas Advocate. The store is scheduled to be open from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on its final day.
Staff said the closure is for business reasons. Employees will be transferred to Sweetgreen's Snider Plaza location, near SMU, and its West Village location in Uptown. One employee said they would no longer be able to walk to work.
The Lakewood restaurant opened in 2022 in the former Dixie House, Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen and Kozy Kitchen space, the Advocate reported.
