Two DFW Airport Mart stores, DFW Mart North at 2900 N. Airfield Drive and DFW Mart South at 2344 Rental Car Drive, will become 7-Eleven stores. According to minutes from the DFW Airport Board of Directors meeting on Oct. 1, a 15-year lease for the stores starts Jan. 1, 2027. As part of the change, the car wash at DFW Mart North will be removed, its 18-wheeler parking lot will be repaved, and a freestanding Starbucks will be built. The connected Whataburger at DFW Mart South will be moved across the street.

The board also approved a 20-year lease with DFW Lucky 7, LLC for a standalone Whataburger in the Southgate Plaza area, starting Jan. 1, 2027. The location, between Rental Car Drive and Innovation Drive, will have a drive-thru. The concessionaire will pay $103,122.75 in ground rent, with a 3% yearly increase. Rent will be 6.2% of food and beverage sales, according to board documents.
